Weatherhaven Appoints Chief Financial Officer

21 December 2009

Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada – Weatherhaven, one of the world’s leading providers of redeployable shelter systems, announced today that B.J. Gordon has been appointed to become the company’s first Chief Financial Officer.

The appointment of Ms. Gordon is another step in the evolution of the company as it progresses from being a BC-focused business operation to becoming a global integrated corporate entity. In addition to adding manufacturing capacity in Africa and South America, the company has recently established operations in Australia and Europe as well. All of these entities are successfully growing the global brand, presence and revenue base of the company, which augments Weatherhaven’s success in securing a number of long-term military contracts in North America.

“Weatherhaven has made significant strides in the past few years as we successfully continue to implement our five-year strategic plan,” said Ray Castelli, Chief Executive Officer of the company. “This growth, and its related complexity, requires us to develop our corporate capacity in finance and administration, as well as our international consolidation and reporting. This is why we are delighted to have attracted an individual of B.J. Gordon’s reputation to join our management ranks.”

B.J. Gordon is a graduate of the UBC Commerce faculty and earned her Chartered Accountant designation while articling at Touche Ross. She moved into the natural resource industry and served as Manager, Finance at Teck-Cominco Resources before becoming Chief Financial Officer of Homestake Mining Group in Canada. Since that time she has served as a C.F.O. to a number of publicly-listed mining companies in Vancouver, as well as being a senior financial advisor to Weatherhaven during the past 15 months.

Weatherhaven is a leading provider of redeployable shelters, camp and systems for remote sites around the world. The company engineers, manufactures and installs custom shelter systems for a wide variety of commercial, military and medical applications. With strategic partnerships in many countries and manufacturing facilities on three continents, the company has grown from being a dominant Canadian domestic supplier to providing shelter systems and installations on all seven continents and deployments in more than 50 countries.
